Final Idea- Halfway Home.

After  developing our ideas, we both felt that it didn't sound like a music video, it sounded too much like a story, so we sat down and discussed the ideas with our teacher, we developed it further and started thinking outside the box, considering things like hyper-reality and symbolism, and we finally decided on a final idea that we both love and also, it gave us an image for the band, that we needed desperately, as well as a location.

The whole idea for this is based around Rock and Roll, we'll be filming some of the scenes in Camden in London, which is a predominately rock/punk society, we this this is perfect for some of our scenes. We still have the theme of boy/girl and relationship problems, but we have added so many twists and plots.

Two of the band members will feature in the narrative Chris and Rick, the basic outline of this is that myself (Sophie) and Chris will be together, and we'll be up Camden for the beginning shots, where he will purchase a ring and later proposes to me in Eynsford Castle, this will be the start of his false promises, which is also a theme in this video. 

  I will then find a picture of him and another girl on his phone and confront him about it, in the confrontation I will throw the ring and walk away, the location will then change back to Camden or a bar in the local area and in my heartache, I will turn to alcohol, the camera will start to intercut with things how I am seeing the world, from here we will make it so that I start seeing the engagement ring everywhere as I still love him, I will also see him standing there, to try and get him out of my head, I will then have a 'lust' scene with the lead singer, I will take a picture on my phone and then Rick will send it to Chris, who will then realize he misses me and loves me, tables will turn and he will start to see the engagement ring everywhere. During the performance he will be wearing it. 

The performance side of things will be filmed in a local location, Eynsford Castle, and what we like the most about this is that it is the ruins of a castle, nothing is still in its original form, this makes it perfect as it will highlight the ruins of the relationship featured. We will do solos of each member within the castle somewhere.
