1st Initial Idea- Halfway Home

This is our first initial idea for our music video, when we first listened to it together, we knew that this was our favourite as we instantly came up with 3/4 good ideas.
  After listening to it a couple more times, we began to develop what we had thought of and came up with an outline of what we really wanted to do with it.

We decided that it would be a narrative/performance video like the other two, but a very different location for the performance, its a boy/girl lovestory once again, but they are having relationship problems. With this one we picked out a main lyric that runs throughout the song which is 'Can't always keep my promises, but whatever we're going through, i'll just stay me, you just stay you.'   we thought this was a significant line, and this is our main inspiration for our ideas, we have an idea of filming them performing in a field, and cutting between both narrative and performance, in the narrative, filming them pinky promising each other which we would later edit in black and white, and then straight after showing them letting go of each others hands in normal colour as the line is sung, we will also have the lead singer having flashbacks of their relationship, this could well be another member of the band, we havent decided yet.

Near the end of this song that line is repeated a number of times, but is recorded with no instruments, just their voices, when this is played, the video will be cutting between the boy and girl, and the band also. But at the end of the music video we will have the girl leaving the member for somebody else, and him dropping to his knees in sadness.

We have thought hard about this idea, and will be developing this idea further.
